We did run an Indiegogo campaign in 2017 to help fund the creation of the Dized platform. At that time, this entire project was a dream waiting to be made into a reality, and our supporters helped us do just that. Now, Dized is in early access and we’ve launched 3 pilot tutorials to show what we’ve been working on. Kickstarter will help us advance our creation tools and building community.

Why are you coming to Kickstarter after successfully running an Indiegogo campaign?
Kickstarter has always been part of our company’s growth plan. However, we wanted to ensure we started delivering on what our Indiegogo backers made possible. With Dized’s release into early access and our Content Creation Tools well into development (In fact, publishers, content creators, and our team are already using the Rules Creation Tool!), we knew it was time to launch our Kickstarter to further enhance our development, our team, and our amazing community. The Kickstarter Campaign is an important milestone in Dized’s growth as new publishers are attracted to the platform, and we are able to introduce features the community has been asking for since we launched early access.

Do IndieGOGO backers receive a bonus for backing the Kickstarter?
There is no extra bonus for supporting the Kickstarter if you backed on IGG beyond receiving the Credits, which are a great value compared to what a standard user will pay. This is to reward our early supporters. You can also see an update we have on IGG for another option available to our IGG backers.

When is more content going to be available?
We are hard at work on Content Creation Tools that will make development efficient and quick for new content. The first one, the Rules Tool is now available to our team, interested publishers, and content creators. They are already working on rule sets that are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks.

What are Credits?
Credits are exclusive to our crowdfunding backers. They will be used to acquire game packs or monthly subscriptions to the Dized service at deeply discounted rates. (See the chart below for details on what’s included in each.) No matter the price of a game pack, 1 Credit will always cover it! Subscription rates are estimated to be $4.99 per month or $49 for a year, so using a Credit will always be the best value. For example, the Champion Pledge Level Credits could be used for 2.5 years of subscription at the price of 1 year. As an early supporter, we want to ensure you’re getting an amazing value. Please note that the Credits system will be implemented as development continues, so it is currently not part of the app.

What is the difference between the Dized app and a rulebook?
The Dized Rules aren’t meant for learning the rules (we’re building the tutorials for that). This service is optimized for finding specific pieces of information efficiently. You can compare this to the reference guides or player aids that some games have these days, however publishers can actually go in and amend any information if they need to.
When you open up Rules to any game, the search is available on the home screen, and also always on the left hand side menu (select the magnifying glass).

Why am I paying for Tutorials if there are going to be ads?
We can confirm that there will be no ads on the tutorials on the Dized app.

Why charge the publishers and the customers?
The Dized app is free to download and some of the content is free. Dized will charge a platform fee to the publishers who will be able to decide if the content that they put on the app is free or not.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
